GraphicsĪbsoultly astonishing, the full engagments comes with beautiful colors, The biomes have very unique set of colors which bring the most of the horror like theme into the mind. I don’t like the sheilds they feel too bulky for me to use, after awhile you can unlock additional powerups that help you bring your best tactics into the gameplay. I like the items and the combos you can do with them - I tend to be more “tactic” with bows and shooting traps, this helps to keep distance, minimize damage and deal a lot of damage very fast! I do have slight issues with the jump down controls - Sometimes I spend important seconds just trying to fly down while I initate a single jump instead. Therefore it must be good - and it definitely is!Įach monster is unique with it’s playstyle and attacks so when you encounter a new monster look at its patterns.Īfter a while you’ll get used to time your dodges and attacks accordingly and don’t be sad that you got hit pretty hard when you miss something - it’s part of the game. The combat is the main element in this game - this is the only way to advance. Some generations are a bit trickier to deal with and sometimes it’s not that understandable - for example if there’s a trap and you don’t notice it, you’ll get ton of damage. The maps are seperated into biomes and are random generated.Įach biom has different theme with different rooms, lore rooms and monsters. The map contains additional elements to engage with: The game play is very engaging and even though the controls are minimal - You have 4 combat actions. The map and some progress is reset when you die.īut there’s general progress that doesn’t reset - this is how you keep progressing faster. The skills and items are well balanced and create different play styles. Plus the dead inside mutation seems broken.A 2D Platform cylic game with beautiful graphics and engaging combat. I also don't have the DLC and there are a few busted weapons I need to get. Switching out hook for a different larger AoE skill plus something like instinct would be highly beneficial. The hook is for bigger enemies and Isolating them from packs to avoid getting squashed by the crowd.Īfter checking out other people's builds and what not my issue appears to be CC. Phaser, 1-2 shot most all enemies and small groups, dash for big group clear, drop giant for shield to parry projectiles. My strategy for biome clearing is rather simple. Scheme, disengaged, and frenzy for biome mutations. Does that count as the attack for scheme and is damage applied here? Or is it with the weapon you attack following that?Īdditionally I enjoy a cursed katana(recovery or damage), giant killer, phaser, hook, shield in the back pack. Phaser teleports the user and does 1 melee damage to the enemy it was teleported behind. Scheme effect occurs in the melee attack directly after using a skill. All three will get you consistent wins and be fun to play.įor the brutality build I have a question I've been incredibly curious about. Mutations for bosses disengagement (see a pattern lol), master of arms, and vengeance. Combo for damage, open wounds for bleed synergy (phaser applies bleed with open wounds), or necro if you have bad food rng. For the last mutations in biomes it's up to you. For mutations go with scheme, master of arms, combo. I would recommend high cool down item like flamethrower or corrosive cloud. For wins any bleed build will work, but I love assassin's dagger, giant killer(makes bosses and elites weap) phaser, literally anything else you want. In boss fights disengagement, acrobatipac(alchemic carbine for poison synergy), vengeance. The mutations parting gift, hunters instinct, and necro for those moments you take some hits. Ice shards, electric whip with wings of the crow and tesla coil is pretty broken. Tactics took a huge hit when we lost scheme, but electric whip is still well electric whip. Disengagement, master of arms, and vengeance for boss fights. I recommend heart of ice, gastronomy, and necro for biomes. For the guaranteed win go with ice shards dual bound to giant killer(ice shards on the left).
